yeah it is. Then the op on the 20th, 4 weeks of healing, and then the rest of the first year post-op is for losing weight very fast and that brings its own issues with it. All in all a pretty intense year and a half.

Two weeks ago we had a trip planned, so we got out of it. Last weekend there was no where to go, as the entire area was socked in. But we don't have any serious fires in our area so I don't want to complain too loudly!

Agreed. The largest one here has a fire line 1,000 miles long. I can't even imagine that. We came home from a trip this weekend, and before takeoff, the pilot announced there were six firefighters on board heading to Washington. We all applauded.

We lived through that in 2000. A veteran told us it was as bad a living through the bombings in London during the War. We were completely surrounded by fires. Sometimes all the roads were closed.

So many people have been evacuated in Washington, and there are only so many hotels in the rural area where the fires are. I read that an 80 year old man with nowhere to go has been put up by the local Home Depot. They have a bed made of pallets for him to sleep on.

Around here, most of the evacuees didn't want to go too far, so they loaded up their campers or tents, and went to city parks, or neighbors who lived in towns. The Red Cross even noted that for the number of people evacuated, there were remarkably few staying in the shelters.

Actually, we live in Granite Falls. Beautiful area. Our community has videos on YouTube with photos that tons of us contributed to. The mural Chris Pratt painted in high school is in there too.

Yes, about 10 miles from us is I-5, part of the greater Seattle corridor, with tons of traffic.
