Moving forward is good. Rape cases are some of the most difficult to win in jury trials, but of the numerous felonies he committed that night, attempted rape has the longest sentencing and he'd have to be on the sex offender list for the rest of his life.

The worst part is that he's currently out on bail. He's supposedly on house arrest with a GPS ankle monitor, but I found out in April/May that it was never actually set up, so he was tooling around doing whatever he wanted. They say it's set up now, but it's hard to believe it. You know?

I actually thought I saw him a couple of months ago at a restaurant/bar and I was a mess until the bouncer finally asked him for ID again. Then I saw his future sister-in-law (when we dated, he was living with his brother and her) a few weeks ago and she started talking to me and I completely lost it. She was trying to be nice, but she's pretty dense when it comes to realizing things like...hey, you shouldn't send me a Facebook friend request and start talking to me when I didnt' even notice her...and then continue talking to me even though I start trembling and crying...and, her telling me she has nothing to do with what happened and is completely apart from the situation...while she's having his brother's baby and put up some of the money for bail.
