Hmm - I don't think it's taken a word from me yet that's only French. I'll have to keep looking for that one. I have several that are words in both French and English. And it wouldn't take selon, which is French for "according to". Maybe it's only foreign words that are well known by Enlish speakers. LOL!

now that I think about it it might be an english word..i just remember that 1 word from a project we had to do senior year in french class. we had to find 50 words on a list and we have to make copies of them in the context and this was one. makes me feel OLD

No one has posted the stats. There seem to be two people (Ysegrim, and I can't remember the other) who have programs that can calculate the stats for any given puzzle.

I tried to find something online that would do it, but no luck. And I'm just not that good at programming, so hopefully someone will post them soon!

Often, Babble will accept words that are not in its own dictionary. We refer to it as babble welfare. It makes up in some small way for those words that we all know exist but that it refuses to accept. Go figure!

I think that if you play a game and don't score very high you can really hurt your ranking. more so if you haven't really played many games. I really haven't played for very long and I have no reason to expect a higher ranking, I really am not that concerned, just devoting a great deal of time to the game. It is very good mental exercise.
