I feel the same way, I have to travel over roads that are occasionally icy in spots on my way to school in the winter, and while I know how to drive on the ice, the people who think they can just put it in 4WD and go the posted speed limit scare me.

We had about 8 inches at my house last week - slowly melting away.. but may get a bit this week again. My poor little daschund does not like snow... and now we're moving to Minnesota... LOL Though it has seen less snow/cold thus far this year than we have in Colorado...

She will get to keep her horns. She needs them for defense. You can trim horns, but they actually have a central cavity and blood supply, so you can't trim them very far.

You can dehorn them, same as cattle, but that should be done when they are very young, before the horn develops much.

it is probably not *good* to trim horns - much more risk of pain/bleeding/infection than with nails, as they are not intended to wear down or break off as nails are.
