I will take the metro to work in the morning but they are shutting down shop at 3 and then I will take metro home (or four blocks short) and then will stay within my house and block for the duration. . . I just hope i don't lose power. . .

when i was in Kenya my laptop battery sustained me for quite a while one night . . .and then once in a snow storm in Indiana. . .

When I lived in Va., there wasn't snow removal equipment to take care of an inch much less a foot of snow.. don't think things have improved much since then because every snow is "an unusual winter" event
