it's just the FM acting up. everything el4 is responding to various pain killing methods. i saw a new ortho re my hips 2 days ago. he doesn't want to operate, but says he would like to put me under and do the autologous platelet injections.

One of our friends just has a less-invasive hip replacement. I have never heard of the platelet injections.

they can't use local when injecting as it destroys the cells. very painful. and this surgeon does the same approach as well. it's called the anterior approach. just a smallish incision at the front of the hip.

does anyone else have palindromic rheumatism?? apparently it is what I have in my legs and is why I am in sooo much pain somedays that I can't walk....also have been informed that because my arm was riddled with arthritis before I broke my shoulder - I may not get full use of the arm, even with physio exercises

I took that for the first 2 years after I was diagnosed, diz. Ended up being switched to a higher dose of methotrexate. One of my friends was helped immensely by plaquenil. Hope it works for you!

I have tried so many things for pain - magnesium (malic acid) and turmeric help, so do essential oils. So does morphine! But I want to get off the heavy stuff - do not like having to use it at all.
