I have been watching the biggest loser again! It always makes me want to do something. Was going to do it here but not worth it. Have a lovely field I could use but landlord is so nasty. Wont go in to that again though. lol. Thanks for the link glant. I will go look at it when I have done babble. ;)

I walked at least 5 miles a day for about 18 months and it didn't do anything in terms of weight loss or lowering blood pressure. I did feel better mentally, and it certainly helped with coping with bereavement. I need to start the walking again, but one of the articles on that website explains why the biggest losers have all regained their weight and more....

my advice would be to check out the LCHF life style... not a real diet, it is actually turning around your way of eating. And find a kind of exercise you really enjoy. No need to run if you don't like that. Walking is at least as healthy.

My cell phone is a very old model, and I use it only to make phone calls--I do my computing at home. At work, I look around in the deathly silence and see an ocean of people, with their earbuds/ headphones on, their faces bathed in the harsh light from their "smart' phone and other mobile devices-- often I fully expect to see drool running from the corner of their mouths. I am the loneliest guy in the lunchroom... :(
