we use vinegar on the cats with a little flea comb... they let walter do it and the fleas leave or die and it makes their fur nice and soft... they seem to like it

in my experience I met a lot of very well meaning people who wanted to help ani mals but were not actually willing or able to accept what the actual needs of the animals were, and meet those. They seemed to be more focussed on their own perceptions of what the animals might need. Such a shame.

For example, people adopting dogs from animal shelters, and treating them like children who have been institutions for years. The messages to dogs? You are pack leader. Result - soem dogs do not want to be pack leader and are stressed by the responsibility. Other dogs really do want to be pack leader and are inappropriately aggressive.
