We had chicken kiev, corn on the cob, salad and saute potatoes.

On top of the veges i put pieces of chicken and then season it. i roast it. but i add some water to the pan before cooking it so there a lots of "gravy". after roasting it i take a piece of chicken, and put in large bowl and add the gravy and veges and then add more water and some more salt if needed and warm all in microwave as needed. it is so yummy. the onions, lots of them, give great flavor.

It's hard when a loved one forgets you, Lil, but remember that she's not doing it on purpose. When someone has dementia, their life and memories unravel like a piece of knitting and the memories go from newest first. I remember when my Dad's dementia really began to take hold and he forgot who my Mum was, calling her 'that nasty old woman who lives here' (only nasty in his eyes because she made him do stuff like getting up, dressing etc.) He thought I was my Mum for a while, as I was younger, and then he forgor both of us, only remembering his dead sisters and so on.

Re the shoulder, I had a fall and dislocated my collar bone, ripping every tendon and ligament off that holds it down. It was left flapping about like half a coathanger. Waited a year for the repair op and now it will probably take 18 months - 2 years to get full movement of the arm back post-op.
