We are in tourist country as well, Ruby. We have one area in particular called "Wasaga Beach." it is home to the wolds longest freshwater beach at 7 miles in length. I lived there from 1989 to 1993 or so. In 1992, the town had to literally close due to excessive tourists. After the dust settled, we discovered there had been approximately 200,000 visitors for that July long weekend. The normal population at that time was just over 1500 souls.

My mother was very involved in democratic party politics in California. She was friends with J. Brown, etc. Not that he is that liberal :-) I hate politics because I grew up immersed in it. Most politicians are horrible. Brown is actually an exception. My mother's legal partners were state senators, etc.
