in my poor mother's day it was straight into a radical mas. and the x-ray therapy. poor love never fully recovered from the trauma of the surgery. but she did go on the live until 88 years old and it was her heart which did her in.

I suspect that the specialist may bring up the idea of a liver transplant IF he really truly has quit drinking. If they do talk about it; I want to warn you that it's a very heavy burden for the family; and he'd need a strong family support systemic he got a transplant

Min, it may be that your insurance may not cover a transplant for him even if you do remain married.Some insurance companies are pretty tight-fisted with their coverage; & don't do transplants on people who have caused their illness.

I think I told you before that the Aunt who raised me was a County Superintendent of schools for many years; and because the schools all consolidated & she didn't have that job any more; she went back to teaching (she actually ended up teaching 3 generations of students in that town).
Anyway; she would always start out with the strictest rules & was really harsh at the start of the year; then would relax after she got to know the kids & they respected her.

It must be really tough to teach in a situation like that. I once had to give a speech to some seniors in high school who thought they knew it all & didn't listen. So I sat down & stared at them. It made them very uncomfortable after a while.
