interesting fact, France used to be on GMT. The timezone was changed during German occupation, to align with German time, and was never changed back. So in winter we're an hour ahead of the actual solar time, and in summer 2 hours ahead (but it makes for great long evenings)

TQ, I've got relatives in western Montana & in the past we'd drive there every 2 years to visit them. The time zone changes near Bismark, North Dakota, to the "Mountain Time Zone;" and my kids would always ask "Where are the mountains!" baby K has been sick for several weeks (though he is FINALLY on the mend!) and also cutting teeth on top of that. plus we have both been sick on top of it, so sleep has been a rare commodity in our house for a while now!
DST was just one more thing to deal with.
