yes, my family doc has a notice that not opiates will be prescribed and will be referred to a pain clinic. it only bothers me because it puts an added level of effort on people who desperately need it.

Even the local pain MD was arrested last fall for prescribing too many opiates! People from all over the state come to him for relief but the DEA targeted him. When other docs (from Hospice) covered his practice (after a several week delay which meant patients were without meds and were in pain!) they discovered how well this doc ran his practice. So this doc will likely be acquitted.
