Is anyone else getting driven mad by flashing ads down the side of the screen?? (Next to the log) I keep getting a horrible bright red one saying 'WINNER' (ha!) and now there's an even worse one that's bouncing from side to side, also telling me I've won something. Aaah, Kukana, I'm a WINNER, here, and at the tope of my email screen, and sometimes on a search engine's screen... and there's a host of people in Nigeria (widows and children of deposed Army Colonels) who want to give me a share of millions of dollars.... but heck, it's like advertising on television, it offsets the cost of the programming, and I don't pay out money to anyone.... Thanks everyone, I don't mind ordinary ads at all, but the flashing ones give me a headache :-( I have the ordinary Google popup-stopper but the one at the side of the log doesn't seem to be a popup. I'll investigate smiley central and see if it helps. I don't know anyone who clicks on popups or bouncy/flashing ads so I should think they'd lose revenue rather than generating it for the site.

Wendrie, thanks - so obvious and yet I hadn't thought of it! I sent a message to Playbabble asking them to remove the flashing ads (I've seen other people on other sites complaining as they can apparently cause seizures in epileptics, and migraines in others - all I get is a headache and dizziness but that's bad enough). But in the meantime I'll go for a smaller window which solves the problem perfectly :-)
