somewhat, but not MUCH. pulse-ox numbers went up a bit, which doc was happy with.
he wont tolerate the mask while awake + since hes sleeping on his belly these days, we cant do the mask while hes asleep, so we've been trying to make do with the blow-by. but the meds were expensive, so i asked if we had other options.
we ended up getting an inhaler with a tube/mask, which K is taking to much better, so we are hoping for significant improvements now!

Inhaler with chamber with mask is what we prefer--easier and quicker than a nebulizer. So I would have put him on Flovent 44 2 puffs twice daily.

I had to get a new modem from Comcast/ Xfinity yesterday; we were having connection problems for a total of 16 hours! Things are working now (after a total of 3 1/2 hours on the phone with "help" desk).I'm just glad *I* was the one working on this because both DH & my son would have thrown the new modem at the wall or something as bad.
It was very frustrating; gave me a major headache last night; etc. but 1 thing I do have is tons of patience!.

My son is a QA specialist for a couple of small program development companies (not sure what they call the companies that design & build new niche programs; but his job is to make them work & try to break the programs). He basically works for 1 company in the daytime before his son comes home; then the other one after his son is in bed at night.
After we'd worked on this thing for about 4 hours last night with calls on my cell phone for 1 1/2 hours & depleting the phone battery, *he* was extremely frustrated & we were both ready to bite each others' heads off. I had a massive headache & went to bed then (somewhere around 3 AM); not sure when he gave up though.

Iron shots do help if you need them Ruby; how bad is the anemia? As far as I've seen, the shots do not cause as much constipation as the iron pills (but then again, your hemoglobin must be fairly low for him to choose the shot over the pills)
