none really close to the Okanagan -- but over 380 wildfires currently burning across BC and the province is blanketed with smoke. Over 130 of them were started by lightning strikes on Fri and Sat -- some by flying embers coming from candling tres ( they will travel 2 or 3 miles and start new fires. The forest service has to concentrate on the ones in populated areas and let the rest burn
