oh and did i tell you, on Grand Final day (for australian rules football) Don and i stopped at the supermarket on our way. we were both wearing turkish smoking caps, brightly coloured velvet hats with gold embroidery and pieces of mirror sewn into place. an old codger saw us, and said what are you supposed to be. i said we were being a bit silly as we were on our way to a Grand Final party at our church. he was amazed and said i have never heard of a church having a Grand Final party. and i said, well ours does. at St Thomas'.

Hah, try it in French. So many people can't spell simple verb endings. Passer, passÃ©, passait, passez are all prononced the same, but the first is the infinitive, the rest are the past tense or noun (as in it has passed), another past tense (as in it used to happen), and plural/formal present
