there are angels out and about!...i went out to move my car and two idiots had not moved their cars in time for the plow, so my usual space was full of snow...A new neighbor was shoveling (an area that she did NOT have to shovel for her car)....when i went to join her, her father came out and asked to use my shovel and proceeded to finish shoveling the whole row with his daughter....i was a happy camper, especially because the snow was so heavy!

Fun fact, the coloured pastries with a filling in between aren't French macaroons. They're Parisian. Actual French macaroons are made with almonds and have a much longer history, they go back to the Middle Ages. There are lots of regional variants.
