I'm doing quite well, DH is a bit stressed and tired...we saw the neurosurgeon yesterday. Things are moving along well for his surgery, but I know deep down he is scared of it

when I had the gastric bypass, the surgeon was a weird duck. The interest on the other hand is one of the most social people I've ever met. Sense of humour too.

I'm sure they're trained as part of the program to make folks comfortable with brain surgery. All of the people I have dealt with there are so understanding and helpful, it's like I walked into an alternate universe of people who actually care!

I think we just managed to stumble into a special research program. They don't charge us anything, and we get discount lodging near the facility! That's unheard of in the US

She is about to arrive here, pick up the dog and take him to Nijmegen, which is almost at the other side of the country. She is gonna walk in the woods there, with him, and a friend who lives there.

my school has a thing called EAP, employee assistance program...you can call that to get hooked up with a therapist, or other things you might need.

It takes you from hour to hour, day to day, week to week and during this time your brain chemistry heals itself. Imagine that someone else has your problems.
