i am excited. today i found some long,thin white candles which burn for 6 hours. am going to cut/slash a cross in the bottom of some styrofoam cups to push the candles through. then i have deep purple(the colour of lent) and white (the colour which represents the risen Lord) to make a two coloured bow on the candles. we light the candles at the midnight Vigil on Easter Eve so we can take the Light of the World home with us. we tried this last year, but the tapers which the church hands out only burn for about an hour.

sitting in an Ortodox Greek Church at the Easter Vigil is an amazing experience. the whole church is in darknes, and out of the Sanctuary a single candle flame emerges. that candle lights one candle on the two sides of the church. as row by row candles are lit, so does the light wihtin the building becomes brighter and brighter.

Murder in Paradise is a good one on netflix .New Sherlock coming soon. However, we may be getting different choices in our geographical areas.. Downton Abbey was a big hit in the US, as you probably know. I do follow the PBS (public television) shows too.
