He has had both, Liz. Doing very well, and the doctor said he was the best patient *ever* - I hope the success of the surgery is the *best ever* too!

His battery was installed yesterday, it will be about 4 weeks before he gets programmed.
We have very high hopes he can return to normal activites without tremors at all - the "test fire" during the first surgery completely stopped the tremors, so the surgeon is very positive!

my pain doc, himself an anaesthetist, told HIS anaesthetist on Saturday, Rosie has a great vein and i am not telling you where it is. not matter how she pleaded he wouldn't tell her. told her to find her own vein. it gave me such a chuckle, to hear how carefully he protected his venous access.

We're pooped out. He had his second surgery yesterday, and we have to return Thurs for stitch rremoval from the first round. The second surgery is more painful, so he'll be hurting for a couple more days. He was awake and aware today finally. I'm looking forward to a few weeks from now when he "gets programmed" at long last!
