it basically boils down to: if i am divorced i have a chance of finding happiness with someone else. i think the chance of being happy in THIS marriage are close to zero. the pro of staying married is that i would likely be better off financially, esp in old age.

yes, sprite, everything will be perfectly fair. it's just, fair will still leave me worse off, because i didn't work for a lot of years, so i'll have less social security and stuff. but i didn't not work for HIS sake, it was just cause i didn't want to or didn't know what i wanted to do, so it's not like i was taking care of kids or something of value like that.
