I did a child's nails yesterday. (she is 10). A manicure, nail polish and stamping nail art. Quite a challenge on such tiny nails but it turned out beautifully. Will email you the pics :D

you know, usually my nails start splitting and breaking about five minutes after I notice they're getting long enough to do something with - (I used to be kinda vain about them some years back) - but they're doing okay lately.

okay... first off, never cut nails. Only file them, file in one direction only, and never use a diamond file. Use cardboard ones, or for sealing the ends, a glass file.
Cutting nails and filing in two directions will cause the nails to chip. And diamond files create too much friction, burning your nails and drying them out.

yeah, toss them out, lol. Buy yourself a few lovely new colours of a good brand, the new polishes dry quickly and stay on for longer. I recommend Caption or Magnetic polish.

oh, yes, I never use metal. And only trim either when they break funny or just get so long I can't stand it, haha. Haven't done much fancy for a couple of years, all busy with caring for Hubby and such. Now I have lots of time. :(

you might want to check the strengthener. If there is formaldehyde in it, do not use it. It dries out your nails and makes them hard, but brittle. In stead, massage a drop of cuticle oil into your cuticles every night. Just for a few seconds. You will be amazed.
