found generic chickens
12:31 am
Kamanjah
the only thing close to a generic chicken I can find is a baseball hit outside the baseline...
12:32 am
hurshy
i think perhaps the "generic chickens" is referring to something that is not in the grid, but which has a homophone in the grid?
12:33 am
hurshy
there is fo4/8, but not fo4/11
12:33 am
TraderKate
Thank you Dr. God :)

1:41 am
rbud
howdy, folks
1:41 am
TraderKate
rbud!! :) hello
1:42 am
rbud
giggling my buns off about the wa 7/64 definition, I can totally work that into conversations.
1:44 am
rbud
that is, if I can find how to pronounce it...
1:44 am
rbud
of course it's Scottish. based on wa 4 that I saw in Outlander more than once.
1:47 am
TraderKate
I looked in a different dictionary and couldn't find it! what does it mean with the final 3 letters added? - crazy?
1:48 am
rbud
the last 3 mean "full"
1:49 am
rbud
so, a bellyful. :D
1:49 am
rbud
oops, add an L
1:49 am
TraderKate
ah..just found that separately... I can work a bellyfull into a conversation somewhere ROFL - of course, friends will look at me oddly ;)
1:50 am
TraderKate
You crack me up! :D
1:51 am
rbud
what was that word he used for armpits that cracked me up, too... was it "oxter" or something like... Scottish makes me laugh. I did have a Scot for a sister-in-law, my bro passed away, we don't talk any more, I miss her.
1:52 am
TraderKate
that';s the word rbud... just checked ;)
1:52 am
rbud
suppose that might show up here sometime, too, ya never know.
1:53 am
TraderKate
You should drop her a line... I think it's a shame that in so many families, the "in law" only lasts as long as the direct connection :(
1:56 am
rbud
My sis tried calling her last year when Mom died, she pretty much told her she was sorry to hear it, but after that she more or less said she didn't see much reason to stay in touch any more. Of course she liked me better, maybe I'd have more luck.
1:57 am
rbud
Sis can drive folks batty on the phone at times, she tends to natter.
1:59 am
TraderKate
Ouch, maybe dro-p her quick line first... letting her know that it's okay if she has a new person in her life, but that you really miss her... letters and e-mails can be read and ignored..but gives her a head's up.. then 2-3 weeks later give her a call at what might be a quiet time..Sunday after dinner maybe? You can take your cue from that. It may be too paingul fror her to be reminded.. or she may wish to truly cut ties..but nothign ventured, nothing gained...
2:00 am
rbud
Well, we never did talk much, but got along so well when together... might try it. And you're so right about the connection breaking, though, I get some of that from my de4 departed hubby's family nowadays.
2:01 am
TraderKate
WERe they married a long time? Her not resonding to the funeral of your mom is kind of telling, but you don't know what she may have been dealing with...sometimes the death of a spouse can take years to get over and contact is painful... I don't know - just spit-balling???
2:02 am
TraderKate
I am glad to hear that some of Easy's family are in contact.. it may help that you have a houseful, so nieves and nephews... but it can be so very hard and tricky for some.
2:02 am
rbud
Pretty long, he married her in Scotland while in the Navy, and she and her son came here with him. They had some good years, but then he got very ill and she ended up nursing him along for years.
2:03 am
rbud
Takes a lot out of you, I know that personally.
2:03 am
TraderKate
Oh dear... do you know if she may be struggling otherwise in general life? Years of not owning your own life can take quite a toll.
2:04 am
TraderKate
Is she far away?
2:04 am
rbud
First time I met her in person, he was in the hospital, and she'd not yet gotten her driver's license in America. She met us on the front stoop, handed me the keys to their van, and said, "hurry, let's go and get me hoosband" - loved her accent!
2:05 am
TraderKate
<3 <3 <3
2:06 am
rbud
Not sure if she's in the country all the time any more, she goes home to visit a lot. Showed us a pic of her family home over there, was basically a small castle/ manse on a small mountainside, amazing.
2:07 am
TraderKate
So you were quite late into her life with your brother... makes it harder... drop her a nice card aying you miss her and liked that you always got on..see where it goes after a call.
2:07 am
rbud
But she comes back because of her son, he's all Americanized. He used to translate for me, haha, sometimes I simply could not make out some stuff she'd say, it would frustrate her, she'd go get him, lol.
2:08 am
TraderKate
So, she's not likely hurting for money - or at least a lacve to live if needed...that's something. so many struggle after a spouse passes... :(
2:09 am
rbud
Yep. Maybe I will give it a shot, she's still at their same house when she's here.
2:09 am
TraderKate
:D I love that... Sounds like she misses the Auld Sod and will return one day. She's only here to get her son properly set?
2:10 am
TraderKate
Well - nothing ventured.... as long as yu wouldn't take it personally if she politely dissuades you...
2:11 am
rbud
oh, he was about 6 when they married, he's maybe 30+ now, he's settled. Doesn't want to move back to Scotland.
2:11 am
Elegant
Hello Kate, hello Babblers.
2:12 am
TraderKate
{{{((( ELEGANT )))}}} Hello hello hello... I just missed you yesterday... I said hello and popped off.. you answered not a minute later.. os very sorry...
2:12 am
Nef
Elegant! I haven't seen you for years!
2:12 am
rbud
hiya, Elegant, not sure we've "talked", nice to "meet" you.
2:13 am
TraderKate
Kill the fatted calf! Elegant hath come to visit :)
2:14 am
Elegant
lol I figured you'd got to do something, no worries. I think we have Rbud but a long time ago,. Hi, Nef, yeah it's been a long time.
2:18 am
rbud
leaving? was about to ask about your icon pic, nice spot.
2:18 am
Elegant
Who's leaving?
2:19 am
rbud
oh, an edit, aha... in that case, where was the pic taken?
2:19 am
TraderKate
...gone to do something... typo
2:19 am
rbud
(it was the "gone" that threw me, haha)
2:21 am
TraderKate
speaking of leaving.. AI also just missed crossy today. someone greeted him, but he had poofed just before. Please say hello for me when you get a chance!
2:22 am
TraderKate
It is a lovely picture Elegant <3
I am loathe to ask if you are up late or early...
2:23 am
Nef
I have to say goodnight; I'm up too late & losing it now. So though I'd like to chat, Good Night & hapy Babbleding!
2:23 am
Elegant
Oh, sorry, I was correcting a typo...The pic was taken on a cruise Crossy and I took.
2:25 am
Elegant
I'm not awake yet. I get up with Crossy to have a tea with him.
2:25 am
TraderKate
Beautiful colours - was this on the Trent-Severn?
2:25 am
TraderKate
LOL..More tea for Elegant!
2:26 am
rbud
(what was it Dorothy said in the Wizard of Oz - "my, people come and go so quickly here!" Ya just never know sometimes, thought for a sec that "gone" might have been another version of "poof".)
2:27 am
rbud
but I'm all better now. ;)
2:28 am
TraderKate
LOL, true on both counts - I have made htat same quote here a few times... things happen and people poof all the time...
2:29 am
TraderKate
The breeze here has come up and is noticeably cooler... ah, sweet relief... you got rain and storms, didn't you?
(nothing here...)
2:29 am
Elegant
Aboard the Segwun in Muskoka.
2:32 am
Elegant
I highly recommend taking a sunset tour if in the area, breathtaking scenery and the people who have cottages/houses on the route are so friendly.
2:32 am
TraderKate
Such pretty country up there... too bad it's littered with tourists and citiots...
;)
2:34 am
Elegant
Yes we got thunderstorms here and lots of rain. I loved the thunder, the louder the better. It's a bit cooler here, the breeze is refreshing.
2:36 am
TraderKate
We did hear thunder - from across the lake; it's likely Scrabs saw some action.
I have a friend near NOrth Bay that posted.. I guess they got a wild ride for a while with the weather...
I am glad that the temperature has dropped. Need a good night's sleep desperately. Just waiting for the apartment to cool down now :)
2:40 am
Elegant
The rainfall was massive for a bit, it was coming down in sheets sideways. We got quite a few storm fronts back to back. We needed it though.
2:41 am
TraderKate
WE could use some of that here. I though maybe this evening, but nothing... hopefully tomorrow. At least it's cooler, so I can go out and water.
2:43 am
TraderKate
Belated niters to Nef! I am doing too many things at once here...
2:46 am
Elegant
We'll send some down for you kate. A breeze is blowing though the windows right now airing out the apartment and cooling it down.
2:46 am
rbud
seriously? ma 5/12 is a word? "yessa, ma5, right away, suh!" I'm shocked.
2:47 am
TraderKate
Thank you very much!
2:48 am
rbud
only jokingly tried it, haha
2:48 am
TraderKate
Yes rbud... dictionaries aren't "politically correct"
The N word is also taken... as are any other nasty words :(
2:50 am
rbud
trying to recall whether that stuff is covered in Jillibus's excellent quote about whoever compiled enable, she covered most everything, so funny.
2:50 am
TraderKate
I tried out on a whim too..because it was so slangy, I didn't think it would take.
2:51 am
crosshair
Good morning, my Babble friends. :)
2:51 am
Elegant
I saw the word tw-t in the grid yesterday, wasn't a word though. Thought I'd throw that out there for no reason...
2:51 am
Elegant
Hello Sweetheart.
2:51 am
crosshair
Morning, my beloved. :)
2:52 am
crosshair
Howdy, Kate. :)
2:52 am
rbud
crossy! lovely to see ya! :)
2:52 am
TraderKate
C-R-O-S-S-Y !!!!!!!
2:53 am
Elegant
He'll be back in a sec, he\s making toast.
2:53 am
crosshair
Howdy Rbud :)
2:53 am
TraderKate
There are lots of naughty words in grids.. the key being that they are real words, if distasteful... but MA5? I looked in 2 other dictionaries ans it wasn't there...
2:53 am
rbud
I thought I'd read that crossy said he has to get up very early, guess it's so.
2:54 am
crosshair
Yup. Sadly I must get up at 3 A.M these days :(
2:55 am
rbud
so you're on grid time like I am.
2:55 am
TraderKate
Geez, with hours like that, you might as well work for the railway crossy.... on duty 0300.. PFFFFT :(
2:56 am
crosshair
it is not so bad, once you get used to it. The secret is to have a one hour power nap when you get home at 1 P.M
2:56 am
crosshair
I would love to play with trains :)
2:57 am
TraderKate
I liked early starts in the summer, but found it much worse in winter... so many hours of woeking in the dark at the start of the day... brutal!
2:58 am
Elegant
oh god, there would be mass destruction if that happened. or you'd find the engine in pieces because he wanted to know how it operated.
2:58 am
TraderKate
They were hiring crossy.. sorry, I didn't even think of you.. closest for you would be Capreol and NOrth Bay (HOrne Payne is out of the question...)
2:59 am
TraderKate
LOL Elegant..... he might make a good mechanic then. At least they have staight shifts with regular schedules...
3:00 am
TraderKate
I have no idea if they are hiring in the shop though... I do know the were hiring for the running trades... with a nice hiring bonus
3:00 am
crosshair
Na, want to be in the "peak seat" taking a run through the mountains while listening to Arlo Guthrie singing "City of New Orleans. " :)
3:00 am
TraderKate
Pretty sure CP too... and they have lines up there, though not sure of where the "home terminals" are.
3:01 am
Elegant
He is treated very well at his current job, he likes to complain but he enjoys it and it keeps him out of my hair.
3:01 am
TraderKate
Hahaha..Well, I could teach you to drive them but they took away our music crossy... no tunes allowed :(
3:02 am
TraderKate
Yes... I am NOT advocating for the railways.. especially not now. No NO NO !!!
3:03 am
TraderKate
and that goes DOUBLE for your son....
3:03 am
crosshair
I am getting "up there" now anyways. Counting down the last few years till early retirement and spending my days with my beloved.
3:04 am
rbud
my dad retired from the Rock Island Line, I'm a train buff, and somehow always end up living by tracks. Music to my ears. Except for the occasional long braking screeeeech...
3:04 am
TraderKate
<3 <3 That's the spirit crossy! There's more to life than money... you can't buy time 0- as you well know!
3:05 am
TraderKate
Haha.. poor rbud... I remember you saying the tracks were at the end of your cul-de-sac and they separated you form "the town" ;)
3:06 am
Elegant
I'd love to move further up north and just chill on a small lake somewhere with Crossy, kitty and puppy.
3:06 am
rbud
partly why I hang out with Kate on FB, she posts train stuff, lol
3:07 am
TraderKate
THAT sounds wonderful Elegant!
3:07 am
rbud
I also ran the local Amtrak station for over five ye5, it was kinda cool.
3:07 am
TraderKate
ROFL... should I be hurt that you only like me for my trains? <snort>
3:07 am
crosshair
Most of the branch tracks have been pulled up here--with the exception of a "private" rail line that is used by the distillery and the ethanol plant
3:08 am
rbud
nah, I lean in your political direction, too, you get wound up and stir things up. ;)
3:09 am
TraderKate
Ya.. there are getting taken up everywhere crossy... not that there isn't enough business to keep them ciable... it's all about how to make the very most money with the least men and machinery..so the less PROFITABLE get tossed...
3:10 am
rbud
There are tracks right here in my side yard, active for a while at least twice a day. We live by a switch, so back and forth, back and forth. Stacking cars.
3:11 am
TraderKate
LOL rbud... I have lost a few friends and some followers because I have gone on posting rampages... everyone is so sick of their waslls being flooded with politics... and two years ago you couldn't find a political post on my walls... go figure!
3:12 am
rbud
and they seem so shocked that you're not even American, why DO you go on so, I see them saying... but I get it.
3:13 am
TraderKate
LOL... no one has ever actially said that to me rbud!!! If they did ask though, I'd be glad to tell them.
3:14 am
rbud
oh, but they're THINKING it, maybe I'm reading between the lines. :D
3:14 am
TraderKate
rbd.. if your friends question, tell them I'm a Crazy Canick and half my family's Americam...
3:14 am
TraderKate
and then tell tehm we are all concerned...
3:16 am
Elegant
We care what happens to our neighbours.
3:17 am
crosshair
..and it DOES affect us--just ask us about the nice new tariffs...
3:17 am
rbud
have been wondering if I should invite to our little page, all ladies, some from England, some from all over the U.S. - we're pretty indignant about politics and go there to vent. The gal who started it named it "A Safe Place" after all the BS about "snowflakes" needing a safe place, etc... the Brit ladies are every bit as disturbed about us as you.
3:17 am
TraderKate
and it's not just us - the whole world cares... we are all invested in this, like it or not.
3:18 am
rbud
they post news and stuff more than we do. We have a great time. (it's on FB, forgot to mention...) You'd likely fit right in.
3:19 am
TraderKate
All of Europe is pretty much up on arms over this.. they are way more evo-conscious than us wasteful North Americans.. all about no GMO, and environment is above profit...
3:19 am
rbud
Just a bunch of steamed up old ladies I've met over the years playing various games.
3:19 am
TraderKate
Is this a ladies only group? Thinking crossy might be interested too... and of course, Elegant!
3:20 am
crosshair
and even though they are not our National parks, I am saddened that the current regime wants to open them up for logging and mining exploitation.
3:20 am
TraderKate
Never screw with a steamed up old lady... they will be running the world in 20 years if this keeps up...
3:21 am
crosshair
Remember Hetch Hetchy!
3:22 am
Elegant
And that is a shame because those parks are so precious, and beautiful. I thinks something to preserve not mow down.
3:22 am
rbud
oh, we had a fellow or two over the last year, but they don't seem to stick around. I'm an admin, so hey... :D
3:23 am
TraderKate
So mich of this does affect us.. look at all the protection knoecked down in EPA and protection of the Gr4eat Lakes is in peril.... bloody walking catfish and those flying (gobis???) pfft!
I had the idea that it was a world heitage site... and should be eligible for internastional protection from rampant US poisoning... we have worked so hard to briong back the lakes... this cam't happen. It just can't.
3:24 am
TraderKate
I don't like parks or their ioning right being sold to the highest bidder... the one lately was actually a Canadian company...small cap, but still...
3:24 am
rbud
I got into a little fuss with some gal on one of Seain's posts today, she insisted priorities should be with the poor, the homeless, the babies, etc, and the heck with a bunch of dirt and rocks. I suggested we could take care of both... and it ticked her off.
3:25 am
TraderKate
rbud... sounds like a parrot to me... I do agree, but saving water for all comes before any individual
3:26 am
rbud
oh, mining and drilling the Grand Canyon is currently breaking my heart.
3:26 am
rolin
mining and drilling in the grand canyon???
3:27 am
TraderKate
Well, when Yosemite blows, we won't have to worry about that for a while... :(
3:27 am
TraderKate
HI rolin :)
3:28 am
rbud
yes, he's doing away with protections for many National Monument sites. They're already shrinking.
3:28 am
Elegant
It's sad that there is a price tag on everything and they want to sell or destroy it.
3:28 am
crosshair
As we "progress" more and more as humans, national and provincial parks become infinitely more important in our lives. These treasured places speak to us on a level that nothing else can. These parks are larger than ourselves, and humbling in their sheer majesty, reminding us that there are better places in this world for us to set our souls free to roam and to imagine.
3:28 am
rolin
Hi Kate... really mining and drilling in the grand canyon ... who is doing that,,,and what for?
3:29 am
crosshair
I must head to work now, I I will wish all you ladies a good day.
3:30 am
TraderKate
rbud may know... there is a new mining thing being leased in the (little bear??? damn, sorry - very tired.. the park they just down sized by half...) any way... a small cap mining firm from canada got that prize.
3:30 am
rbud
hugs to you, crossy, carry on - another day closer to retirement dreams. :)
3:31 am
TraderKate
Bye crossy, HAGD and a good nap at 1 :)
Nioce to see yu again here :)

Uranium mining regulations - Obama put a moratorium on mining in the area, now they're trying to lift that. He's after any and all regulations that slow down his chosen favorite energy producers.
3:40 am
TraderKate
There is a great map tht really brings it all home... you can see the parks, waterways...everything. Terrible :(
3:40 am
TraderKate
I'd rather nuclear than coal.... that is all ;)
3:41 am
rbud
I read that now he's putting a halt to research efforts that would determine the environmental effects, and the effects on the nearby Navajo Nation.
3:41 am
rbud
Pretty much trying to stomp all science and research, another nightmare.
3:41 am
rbud
well, so many nightmares...
3:42 am
TraderKate
He's shut down a lot of research..and shelved results form new studies.. unconscionable :(
I can't get all worked up or I won't sleep..and it's finally getting cooler in here...
3:42 am
TraderKate
Have we lost Elegant too?
3:43 am
Elegant
No, i'm here
3:43 am
TraderKate
YAY! :)
3:44 am
TraderKate
Does anyone need a clue now? wanted to pop into sudoku for a minute - I am now 3 days behind, buit that will have to wait untiil I wake up alter...
3:45 am
Elegant
I honestly can't understand how he could destroy these parks without a thought of the consequences to the environment and the people living in the area.
3:47 am
rbud
the folks in charge of the land say he's doing it "just because he can" even though uranium mining in the U. S. is incredibly unprofitable.
3:48 am
TraderKate
OMG.... ROFL - just saw your Snoopy dog house cartoon... :D
3:49 am
TraderKate
Uranium is like 45 bucks a pound... it's been years since it was 100-135.!!!!
3:50 am

poor Snoopy... I'm fond of him partly because he was a major favorite of my brother's - poor Linda (the Scottish wife) used to roll her eyes about the silly wee doggie, lol
3:51 am

I'm off folks, have a wonderful day HUGS.
3:52 am
rbud
So long, Elegant, hugs back to you. :)
3:55 am
rbud
There's just so much going on with environmental things, I hardly have time to worry about all the rest, and yet I feel I have to. We might get nuked by N. Korea, or Russia... it's just endless. Guns, babies in jail, oil pipelines, national parks, women's rights, oh, Lord, I just hope we all survive to see a better day. So much evil, nothing nice or humane left unmolested.
3:56 am
rbud
I need choclits! :D

Another scourcher here today. Close to 30c again...Loving it!
4:13 pm

I am so very happy for you zooz... have you taken off your jumper yet? :)
4:13 pm

Nope not yet getting close though lol And I still have a t-shirt on underneath that too!
4:13 pm

It is a different jumper not the same one lol
4:15 pm
zoozzoom
Are you able to sleep at night, TK, with all this heat?
4:15 pm
TraderKate
We had a cold fromt move in last night! It got down to the high 60s, and now it is 24. First good sleep in a week!
4:15 pm
zoozzoom
Wow that is a big drop!
4:17 pm
TraderKate
It was.. and a much needed respite. Just checked the weather... we will be bumping up against 30 for the next 2 weekd... hopefully with lower overnight temps - not sure. This is summer, though a bit warmish for this time of year.
4:17 pm
zoozzoom
Glad it was a relief for you though.
4:17 pm
TraderKate
There were a lot of rainstorms - some quite wild, but we didn't get a drop of it. I must go out to water
4:18 pm
zoozzoom
Yep I can not complain about this years Summer. Very nice indeed/
4:18 pm
TraderKate
It was such a relief...yes!
4:18 pm
zoozzoom
We have not had any rain fall here for a couple of weeks either which makes a change lol.
4:19 pm
TraderKate
Trying not to grouse too much, after last year's nin-appearance of summer, this is welcome...even if it is a tad excessive ;)
4:20 pm
TraderKate
You don't really have any fireworks at this time of year do you? More of a New Year and Guy Fawkes thing? do they do fireworks for the Queen's birthday?
4:20 pm
zoozzoom
I find it is not so much how hot it is that saps the energy levels it is the high humidity that goes with it.
4:21 pm
TraderKate
Yes, to the complete lack of get up and go... I was just sitting a couple nights ago, and jsut moved a little bit - instant buckets pouring off me... ugh! Most unladylike and undignified ;)
4:21 pm
zoozzoom
In general most people do not have fireworks for the queens bithday. Like you say New Years and Guy Fawkes is pretty much standard.
4:22 pm
zoozzoom
Why are you getting fireworks going off where you are then?
4:22 pm
TraderKate
I have done nothing here for a week... nothing.
4:24 pm
zoozzoom
If it is too hot to do anything then that is how it is, TK. Unless you need something in an emergency if that is the case do you not have any family or friends who could help you out?
4:24 pm
TraderKate
I do remember the fantastic display at millennium, the barges in the Thames gave a wonderful show. I saw them from Parliament Square.
4:25 pm
zoozzoom
Yes I saw them on the TV. They were rather spectacular even if I am not a big fan of fireworks. i find they scare too many animals but that is just me being a grumpy old git lol
4:27 pm
TraderKate
I am fine zooz, I try to stay stocked up on things in case I can't or won't go out. I did eat a lot of cheese, crackers pepperoni sticks and store-bought potato salad though. It was too hot to cook! Then I mad a huge supplu of basmatti rice in the microwave and did a big stir fry... then just heated that up for days... thank goodness I like leftovers ;)
4:29 pm
TraderKate
Have always known that some critters don't do well with the loud noises, but it has really only become a more public issue lately. I did read somewhere that soundless displays are now available, not sure where they are made. I think that would be the way to go. I'm not a fan of the idiots that shoot them off at 3 AM...grrr
4:30 pm
zoozzoom
Glad you are doing well, TK :-) Just make sure you heat the rice really well that is a good way to get food poisoning. Sorry to sound like i am preaching. But you know.
4:31 pm
helenkeller
Hello again everyone :)
4:31 pm
TraderKate
Didn't know that rice was a big carrier zooz! I do heat very well..and it is all kept in the fridge lol... haveing cooked ahead was a big help, especially now. I do not enjoy a bowl of cereal for mu dinner ;)

There is a WA 7 that means a belly full of food.
4:40 pm

No rain here. Just hours and hours of sunshine!
4:59 pm

It was just one small cloud that needed a little wee I think, zoozz.
5:00 pm
zoozzoom
Although we have not had rain for about two weeks now I fear when it does get here we are in for a deluge!
5:01 pm
Jacula
I think the same, zoozz. Massive storm, dry ground, flooding. A nice gentle downpour overnight would be much better.
5:02 pm
TraderKate
LOL at Jackers' cloud :)
What is needed is a steady, gentle rain that lasts all night so it all gets absorbed.

Apparently if you plant them in with your strawberries they will yeild even more fruit!
5:10 pm

I have an unreasonable hatred for hosta though... no idea why, other than they seem to be the "go-go" plant for shady areas in southern Ontario.
5:11 pm

5:14 pm
Jacula
I can't grow hostas - too many slugs and snails in the garden and they love 'em.
5:14 pm
zoozzoom
Okay it is 11:14pm so I had better go to the sudoku site to see if I can complete the medium puzzle.
5:14 pm
TraderKate
They are snail bait, for sure. Have the same slug/snail problem here.. saucers of beer do help a lot though!
5:15 pm
zoozzoom
Talke care, TK. Nice to see you, Jacula! Happy babbling everyone!
5:15 pm
Jacula
'Bye zoozz. Nice to see you.
5:15 pm
TraderKate
Bye zooz! You will enjoy the puzzle. I found the middle right box was a huge "in" and ecerything flowed with a few greens (because I'm bone-idle)
5:17 pm
Jacula
Trouble with beer traps is that you have to find somewhere to dispose of all the bodies. Not much fun when you collect over 300 slugs a night!
5:19 pm
TraderKate
but in the end there will be no more... but yes, disguting slug corpses are not pleasant. I use an old coffee tin with platic lid.. then jsut toss the can, though I don't think just tipping it back into the garden would hurt...toss some soil over them?
5:20 pm
Jacula
Not the amount I get!
5:21 pm
Jacula
Can't believe I've only just found the cat sound 'm' words!
5:21 pm
TraderKate
I was going out slug hunting at dusk last year... got kabillions too... it's like a never-ending parade. When do they find the time to eat with all the slug orgies that must be going on nightly?
5:22 pm
TraderKate
there are two kitty sounds... sorry :(
5:23 pm
TraderKate

5:23 pm

You'd have laughed if you'd seen me when I went off to do my menu etc. There was a really annoying fly buzzing and dive-bombing me. I got a Wimbledon-style workout leaping around the kitchen with the tennis racquet shaped electronic fly zapper. Got the b*ggar after about 10 mins of dashing around the room.

6:49 pm

LOL, such a shame Samantha.... ;)
6:50 pm

Maybe Gwen can give me some incentive, because so many people LOVE that show, and I feel left out.
6:50 pm
helenkeller
Waiting for a better word from SJ - perhaps one of the 10 6's I'm missing :)
6:51 pm
TraderKate
Sometimes one Doctor or Companion doesn't appeal and you lose interest HK? I have come and gone, but don't get it on my tv any more here
6:51 pm
TraderKate
Like raddle HK?
6:52 pm
helenkeller
I only gave it a brief chance with the original Doctor, it just didn't hook me.
6:52 pm
helenkeller
Nope, not that one TK, try again :)
6:52 pm
SamanthaJoy
When you say "the original" do you mean the original original, or the reboot original?
6:52 pm
TraderKate
We all can't like the same things - what a dreafully boring world it would be!
6:52 pm
stidmama
helen -- I enjoyed the third doctor (John Pertwee) immensely. He had companions that were believable and a real panache. Tom Baker is well-known and was I think the longest of the old doctors, he was excellent, but I did find some of his companions tedious. Of the new doctors, David Tennant was excellent, but I actually preferred the energy of Matt Smith.
6:53 pm
stidmama
The first doctor, William Hartnell, always seemed so very very old (he was younger than I am now!), but I loved the stories...
6:53 pm
helenkeller
SJ - When I say original, I mean I'm really old enough & it's the first one - didn't he have a 'white man's loose afro'?
6:54 pm
TraderKate
Loved Davod Tennent! Shame he didn't stay long, but he was well-known before he did his stint...
6:54 pm
stidmama
I think you're remembering Tom Baker, helen --
6:54 pm
SamanthaJoy
Honestly I find when you go that far back, a lot of the "classic" sci fi are classics because they're all we had.
The modern ones are better storytelling imo
6:55 pm
stidmama
I think the special effects in the new ones are FABULOUS. But I rather liked the short installments over many weeks instead of the one-hour full stories. I guess it's a sign of the times and our shorter attention spans.
6:56 pm
TraderKate
True SJ, back them there wasn't much choice...
I miss Red Dwarf <3
6:56 pm
helenkeller
I stand corrected. Stid is right, it's Tom Baker I remember, but I don't recall the show being broadcast before him.
6:57 pm
Jacula
Stiddy - Matt Smith was my fave Doctor, too.
6:58 pm
stidmama

Please don't anyone mention Sylvester McCoy (Doc no 7) as I went to see a play about a waiting room in a vasectomy clinic (can't remember the title now) and was sitting in the front row. SMcC was the lead actor and spend entire play stark naked with shaved 'parts' just abut 5 feet from my face. Never forgotten and never to be repeated, one hopes!
7:00 pm

TK - Not only am I missing the extension, also missing the fe 4/9 - tx, will look

7:03 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - To me, that's just gross, yuk.
7:03 pm
TraderKate
Love your icon Is1 :D
7:03 pm
helenkeller
Hiya orig :)
7:04 pm
TraderKate
Better luck this time carlee... will you chill it before cooking to see if it helps?
7:04 pm
carleekat
oh... that was falafel made from quinoa.. this is just quinoa in lieu of rice
7:04 pm
helenkeller
I posted my icon on Sept 19, 2008. My icon is almost 10 years old!!!
7:05 pm
ls1
This is all I'm going to say about the modern Doctors - Stephen Moffat was great when he was writing for Russel Davies (who was a brilliant writer/director/show runner) but as soon as he took over the whole thing went downhill. (my humble opinion)
7:06 pm
origami
I actually like quinoa. And kale. And bacon and donuts.
7:06 pm
ls1
Same here HK.
7:06 pm
carleekat
i love kale too...
7:06 pm
helenkeller
*hk slowly retreats to darkened corner as all her friends talk about Dr. Who and she can't play*
7:06 pm
carleekat
( and I love stephen Moffat)
7:06 pm
helenkeller
What Is1? Your icon is also that old?
7:06 pm
SamanthaJoy
You have a favorite show, hk?
7:06 pm
origami
I'll hide out there with you helen
7:07 pm
helenkeller
Oh good orig, company! Wanna talk about Star Trek?
7:08 pm
ls1
Yep, I'm a dedicated lurker so I never look at it.
7:08 pm
carleekat
been following his work since he did Coupling on the BBC
7:08 pm
carleekat
( I dont watch DR WHo... wel i started but am in the OLD OLD OLD ones)
7:08 pm
Jacula
Just been looking up what that play was. It was Alan Bleasdale's 'Having A Ball'. I note it is NOT or rather has been vanished from SMcC's CV on WIKI etc. Wonder why? lol
7:08 pm
SamanthaJoy
Oh, man, remember when we used to have themed icon days? Who was it that did those?
7:09 pm
TraderKate
<----big Trek fan, but not a Trekkie, as I can't rhyme off episode names and series numbers...
7:09 pm
carleekat
I think it was sprite SJ
7:09 pm
Jacula
Yes, it was sprite, carlee.
7:09 pm
TraderKate
wasn't it TO htat put out the theme of the day list?
7:09 pm
TraderKate
ah yes.. it was sprite... <3
7:10 pm
helenkeller
SJ - nope, impossible to pick one favorite, don't watch that much TV. Was actually accosted by an interviewer in a mall once, who asked that very question. I couldn't think of anything, so I asked him what everyone else was saying. He started to show me his sheet (I saw a whole lot of 'Friends'), then he wised up & said, no, I had to think for myself. So I said, Jeopardy. Then I said, no Star Trek Voyager, then I changed it to something else, then he said, ok lady, we're going with Jeopardy.
7:10 pm
Jacula
Helen - the proximity to parts in the play was gross! Hence my saying never to be repeated, I hope! x
7:11 pm
TraderKate
Hahah HK... hard to ick just one...
7:11 pm
origami
I loved Star Trek.
7:11 pm
SamanthaJoy
"OK, lady, we're going with Jeopardy." -- Hilarious!
7:11 pm
TraderKate
Nudity in a play/film is fine, as long as it furthers the plot and is realistic rahter than being gratuitous.
7:11 pm
origami
Jacula - I'm making plum jam again. Remember when you helped me from afar a couple of years ago? I am now the mistress of jam :D
7:12 pm
Jacula
I've never seen Jeopardy.
7:12 pm
SamanthaJoy
It's a long-running game show, is all.
7:12 pm
Jacula
I agree about nudity in a play etc., Kate, but I'd prefer not to have been just feet from his parts for an hour or more. lol
7:13 pm
TraderKate
I watch hours of Star TRek 6 nights a week on Heroes & Icons... have it on now.
Thye start at 8 with the original and do one of each series in order, anding with Enterprise :)
It saves my sanity <3
7:13 pm
Jacula
Origami - Oh yes! So glad you've mastered the jam. My plum trees have no fruit on them this year. :(
7:14 pm
origami
You taught me jam-making from across the pond :D
7:14 pm
Jacula
I'm really into The Big Bang Theory on TV at the moment. Late to the party, I know. I just love Sheldon. He reminds me a bit of my son. Son agrees and it was he who first told me to watch the show.
7:14 pm
TraderKate
(on Sundays they even run 2 of the half hour "cartoons" that came after the original series... woot!
7:14 pm
helenkeller
*keels over as Jacs has never had the pleasure of asking a question of Alex Trebek*
7:14 pm
carleekat
very cool TK...
7:14 pm
helenkeller
I love TBBT!
7:15 pm
Jacula
Aw, origami. Hands across the pond and all that. That's what the internet is really for! xx
7:15 pm
TraderKate
Lo9ve that too, and was also late to the BBT party.. love Young Shelodn as well.. it culd have been terrible, but it is spot on.. the kid is perfect!
7:15 pm
carleekat
TBBT is great fun.
7:15 pm
ls1
I was a kid when the Star Trek was on originally. My mom was such a sci fi fan that we had to eat dinner in front of the tv when it was on.
7:16 pm
helenkeller
omg TK - I watch those same re-runs. I usually wait til DS9 though.
7:16 pm
Jacula
I saw the episode where Sheldon had to attend the birth of his sister's baby last night. It was hilarious.
7:16 pm
Jacula
Is1 - I used to do that with my kids and The X Files.
7:17 pm
helenkeller
TK - Yes, LOVE young Sheldon!!! The kid is great! Just last night I was admiring Annie Potts playing the grandmother. Goddamn, Annie Potts a grandmother!!!
7:17 pm
Jacula
I haven't watched Young Sheldon yet. Will do soon though.
7:17 pm
TraderKate
Oppph XFiles too, though I miss almost all of the new ones.. I forget where and whenhtey are on. :(
7:18 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - You will love it.
7:18 pm
carleekat
i haven't yet either... am redoing Gilmore Girls nd west wing... sanity
7:18 pm
TraderKate
She is a perfect me=maw!!!!
7:18 pm
Jacula
The new ones aren't a patch on the old ones, Kate, INMHO.
7:18 pm
ls1
hate to admit this, but I can't live without Andy Griffith reruns
7:18 pm
TraderKate
YOu must start Yuong Sheldon.. first season, so you won't have much to catch up. Try to find it fronm the start.. maybe summer re-runs?
7:19 pm
Jacula
The best of the new X Files was the 'when technology takes over' one, I think.
7:19 pm
origami
I watch the Andy reruns when they are on. The show was really ahead of it's time in some ways. And he was such a kind character.
7:19 pm
carleekat
i will stream it online TK
7:20 pm
TraderKate
Ha.. Andy G is my back up, I switch to TBBT and news from 6-7.. then it's all ST if my belove NCIS and a few others aren't on...
7:20 pm
origami
Wait - there's a new X Files? I don't have cable any more so miss a lot of things.
7:20 pm
Jacula
Not a word, IS1. Try the things on each side of your head instead. :)
7:21 pm
carleekat
KT if you love ST you must watch the first episode of this season's Blackmirror. each E is stand alone but E one of most recent season is must see for any trek fan
7:21 pm
helenkeller
Sometimes, when I walk into a waiting room, and all the seats are taken, I point to the best seat & say 'You're in my spot." (This is true, I swear, I am this ballsy.) Lotsa times people will make like they're going to move for me, but it floors me that the majority of the time they don't get the reference. Then I have to explain it to them, then we get to talking, and eventually people scooch over so I can sit down. I highly recommend doing it, worth it those few times that people actually do get it - "Who do you think you are, Sheldon?" "You don't even look like Sheldon." and my favorite, "Sorry Sheldon, here you go!" hahahaha
7:21 pm
TraderKate
all day long, I am now deeply into the old westerns, which I had NO appreciation for until now.. wow, they are all morality plays teaching lessons htat we would all do well to pay attention to now... I adore The Rifleman especially <3
7:21 pm
Jacula
I absolutely loved Dexter and have all the DVDs. Some people on FB took exception to me loving a programme about a serial killer. But that's their problem. It was FICTION!
7:22 pm
ls1
On the rare weekdays that I'm home they
7:22 pm
Jacula
How about Spaghetti Westerns, Kate? Loved them.
7:22 pm
ls1
they're such a relief from the talk shows!
7:23 pm
origami
Oh, wow. My best friend loves all the old westerns and has booked us a trip in October to a western film festival.
7:23 pm
Jacula
Helen - LOL re the seat thing!
7:23 pm
TraderKate
car... I did try to get the online ST, very pissed that it is a pay to view thing... I can't see it and it isn't out there online anywhere (except the first episode, which was a 2 parter..)
Nope, SY has let me down and is now only for the better off rather than the masses... don't get me strted!
7:23 pm
helenkeller
I too loved Dexter, it was so well done. I watched the opening sequence every episode, oh, so terrific, the blood shaving, the ketchup on the eggs, that twinkle in his eye as he leaves his apartment.
7:24 pm
TraderKate
ECHOES the seat thing laughter... that is a scream!!!!!
7:24 pm
Jacula
Yes, I love the opening sequence, too, helen.
7:24 pm
carleekat
TK I will hook you up to my sites...
7:25 pm
TraderKate
I liked Dexter too, but lost track of it (maybe opposite Criminal Minds, or something I was very invested in..)???
7:25 pm
helenkeller
What was that guys's name, Michael C. Hall. And he was outstanding in 6 Feet Under. That was a fabulous show!!!
7:25 pm
TraderKate
Thanks carlee! I culd try to get them fromPirate Bay, but i have almost no memory left in my PC..
7:25 pm
helenkeller
Jacs- you should try it, be serious about it :)
7:25 pm
Jacula
Did you read the Dexter books, Helen? Totally different from the TV series. I deliberately waited until after the finale to read them.
7:26 pm
TraderKate
I LOVED 6 FEET INDER! Love quirky humour and they did tackle social things quite well...
7:26 pm
carleekat
this is streaming... sent you the link
7:26 pm
Jacula
Helen - back to the opening sequence for Dexter, it was the 'PING!' noise at the end that totally made it for me.
7:27 pm
carleekat
it is in digestible bites so that Fb does not get upset
7:27 pm
helenkeller
Yes TK - 6 Feet Under so brilliantly done. For those who
7:27 pm
helenkeller
will continue
7:28 pm
TraderKate
Is1 and Jacula.. yes, the westerns are a refuge from talk shows (which I abhor)...still can't stand the spaghetti western movies, they really are such a parody.. if I was inclined that way, I am sure they are a scream to watch when *high*
7:29 pm
Jacula
Maybe you'll come around to them in the end, Kate.
7:29 pm
helenkeller
've never seen it, each episode starts with an opening vignette that reels you in so completely you totally forget you're watching 6 Feet Under until the credits start to roll. Every-single-episode got me that way!!! Every single one!
7:29 pm
TraderKate
I never understood why 6 feet under wasn't picked up for late night?
7:29 pm
carleekat
I only watch the westerns when I am writing a paper on marginalizing tropes and stereotypes...
7:30 pm
helenkeller
Jacs, yes, that ping with the twinkle. And we so worried he would be caught, right?
7:30 pm
Jacula
Not seen 6 Feet Under. Title didn't appeal to me since I'm claustrophobic.
7:31 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - You gotta give it a try. Also The United States of Tara. Those I think were both HBO shows
7:32 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - I didn't even know there were Dexter books. As soon as I finish my Octavia Butler kick, I'll check one out.
7:32 pm
carleekat
there is a fab series from australia on netflix Offspring... OMG I laughed.. I cried.. I cried while laughing..I laughed while I cried.. LOVED IT
7:32 pm
carleekat
and I just started a realy cool Korean series on netflix ..BLACK
7:33 pm
Jacula
'Bones' was another series I loved. Except when Brennan got buried alive! I'm sure the writers used to giggle over ways they could gross viewers out. Remember the bone-cleaning tank where the eyeball suddenly popped up to the top, or the increasingly bloody layers peeled away to reveal the murder victim in the paper factory? Not to mention the number of people running for various reasons who ended up falling face first into a rotting corpse. lol
7:33 pm
helenkeller
Where are the aussies? Toni Collette is an aussie, you guys have a lot to be proud of in this one woman, what a great talent. Playing 5-6 very different characters in the same show. Hard to pick a fav, but I loved when 'Gimmie' came out.
7:34 pm
helenkeller
carlee - what is Offspring about?
7:34 pm
Jacula
Helen - re Dexter. Yes. I preferred the TV ending to the book one.
7:34 pm
carleekat
I was with bones until hodgins was paralysed.. WAY TOO CLOSE to real life for me.. I could not cope watching after that
7:35 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - Please say no more, no spoilers!
7:35 pm
carleekat
Offspring is a dramedy, the lead character is an obstetrician and she has a parents who were from the hippy era
7:35 pm
Jacula
Helen - Jeff Lindsay wrote the Dexter books.
https://www.amazon.com/Dexter-\n7-Book-Series/dp/B00VZITGYM
7:36 pm
helenkeller
carlee - Can I gently ask why that hit too close to home? Declining to answer is just fine.
7:36 pm
carleekat
just loads of fun characters.. good story lines.. a bit of aly mcbeal mysticism
7:36 pm
Jacula
Helen - I wouldn't dream of doing spoilers on books. Fear not.x
7:36 pm

7:39 pm
TraderKate
Chog is going too fast for me to keep up! carlee, I am very surprised to all so many stereotypes actually being dispelled inhtese shows... so many episodes!
7:39 pm
Jacula
carlee - Hodgins did return to work. He wasn't a very nice person to start with but did come good in the end. But that's fiction and not like real life. I'm sorry real life was so horrible for you. Hopefully, you are on the up now? xx
7:41 pm
carleekat
oh.. it was just the trauma to their marriage when it happened.. was a trigger for so many horrid memories. Up side to the whole ordea and all I went through then... taught me I was stronger and more capable. I would not be doing my PhD were it not for that accident
7:41 pm
helenkeller
I missed that completely, that's horrible! I totally relate to the part where something 'bad' happens to a man & all of a sudden you're the main root cause of ALL his problems. The abusive part, I went through that too. The physical damage part though & the rehab - that does sound like hell.
7:41 pm
carleekat
but thanks
7:42 pm
helenkeller
carlee - PhD?? Didn't know that either!!! Who are all you people anyway? What field?
7:43 pm
helenkeller
Oh lookeee, the same 39 words to go I had an hour ago - wow!
7:44 pm
TraderKate
Offspring looks interesting, and I loved and recommend BOnes highly..also her books :)
7:44 pm
Jacula
Our dear departed Renny went through similar after her hubby was seriously injured by an SuV. It came right in the end but, and I'm sorry to say this, if he hadn't been injured and so unable to help himself when the fire broke out, she (and he) might still be here. But there's no point in pondering on the what ifs. Sadly, things happened as they did.
7:45 pm
TraderKate
Jacula - YOU MUST give 6 feet under a go.. BUT you must start at the very first episode! YOu will thank me!
7:46 pm
Jacula
Helen - 39 words left? Do you need clues or do you just need us all to shut up so you can find them? :)
7:46 pm
helenkeller
Jacs - The same came to mind. Our dearest {{{Renny}}}. Mezzie was sick though with something else for a long time too, I don't recall what. Renny & I would chat on the side, much like you & I did Jacs - all bonded by effing menopause!
7:47 pm
Jacula
Helen - same here. (((HUGS)))xxx
7:48 pm
helenkeller
Remember those rapid fire repartees between Renny & Nutty. When those 2 were on, I couldn't have a sip of tea without snorting it out my nose. They were so sharp, so quick, such clever wits. I will never forget that pair.
7:48 pm
wvteach
help with LA 6/24 pls
7:48 pm
Jacula
Yes, they were brilliant, Helen.
7:49 pm
helenkeller
I feel for nutty, she lost a husband so young, bounced back amazingly well and then her soul-mate Renny here. Dang.
7:49 pm
Jacula
wvteach. Hi. la6/24 - add the snake letter to the word before it.
7:49 pm
helenkeller
Truly brilliant - I'm glad other people remember.
7:50 pm
Uneaixoise
I agree, Kate.....have watched the whole series three times....just brilliant
7:50 pm

7:51 pm
helenkeller

7:51 pm
Jacula
Nutty is brilliant AND she made a podcast of one of my 'saucy' short stories, and read it just how I heard it in my head when I wrote it. T'was a twist in the tail.
7:51 pm
Jacula
y/w wvteach.
7:51 pm
helenkeller
carlee - no you're not caught up. I asked in what field you're getting your PhD.
7:51 pm

7:52 pm
TraderKate
I missed that Jacula.. didn't know she did odcasts..didn't even know about Graphite's page...
7:52 pm
helenkeller
Hellooo Une - you just snuck on in here, heh?
7:52 pm
carleekat
education HK... federal Eucation policy ( First nations...ie American Indians)
7:52 pm
Jacula
Oh, Kate, you MUST look at Graphite's page. He is the derpiest dog ever. He's wonderful.
7:53 pm
helenkeller
carlee - Ahhh, that explains why you were so passionate about the cards the other day, you totally get it. I applaud the choice.
7:54 pm
Jacula
Helen - word before the la6.24 wvteach wanted is past tense of the la4.5 (not able to walk properly) word before it.
7:54 pm
carleekat
I look specifically at how Media .. and modern artifacts created by Indigenous artists are challenging the stereotypes and by etension the imbeded racism in our eduction policies
7:54 pm
helenkeller
I also didn't know nutty does a podcast, is there info on her FB papge?
7:55 pm
Jacula
I don't know if she still does podcasts, Helen. This was yonks ago.
7:55 pm
helenkeller
Yeah, I tried it on a whim Jacs, didn't think it would work, thanks were below in this flying chat :)
7:55 pm
helenkeller
I swear, those Brits, it's like a completely different language they speak, LOL - "yonks ago."
7:56 pm
carleekat
HK I sent you a link to an article that is pretty easy to read .. one that I contributed to last year
7:56 pm

I don't really see Nutty on FB but we do have the occasional private chat on there. It's been ages though.
7:56 pm

Just to ruin everyone's day, let me share this: On the MSN News homepage is an article about the military strength of lots of countries and how much they spend on defense. An unbelievable number of (relatively small, seemingly benign) nations spending double digits billions. But, of course, the USA leads the pack with $682 BILLION spent yearly.
8:02 pm
TraderKate
I see Nutty on FB alot, so do get a good Grahite dose. Will have to ask about his page.. It is something weird like "goofydog..."
8:03 pm
carleekat
HK it is a major industry...with loads of research dollars also spent in that budget
8:03 pm
TraderKate
They are pressing all countries to spend 2% of GDP HK....
8:04 pm
TraderKate
Yonks and donkey's years are very familiar to me... as is "het up" and many more... you can't breed it out of us, even after aeons in thuis strange land, still British... ;)
8:05 pm
helenkeller
North Korea is estimated to be spending 22%, pretty sure many others are also upwards of 2% - so TK, they are pressing to lower spending then, yes?
8:05 pm
helenkeller
What is 'het up?'
8:06 pm
carleekat
wel..me thinks I will love you all and leave you all.. time to tuck myself away with an episode of something r other... night night all

wa7/64 is not listed in Enable-- anyone know what it means? I'd like to toss it into a conversation just to see the look on conversant's face...
10:40 pm
libarebel
wa7/64 was my last "word" as well...
10:41 pm
Bugsaw
Google says it means a belly full of food
10:41 pm
Bugsaw
not sure where though
10:42 pm
libarebel
Just googlrd it-- you are correct, Bugs :D
10:43 pm

10:43 pm
libarebel
Oh, I can't have dessert-- I have a wa7/64
10:45 pm
libarebel
I would act as if it were a common word...
10:46 pm
libarebel
do you think it would piss people off?
10:46 pm
Bugsaw
no, I meant pissed as in drunk not angry. I think it would be an interesting experiment. Let me know how they react.
10:47 pm
libarebel
Oh-- now it makes sense...
10:48 pm
Bugsaw
maybe pissed is a regional usage
10:48 pm
libarebel
I think I'll try it :D
10:49 pm
Bugsaw
let me know what happens. My guess is that people won't comment in case they think they should know what it means
10:50 pm
libarebel
Yes, pissed also means drunk here, but secondarily to angry...
10:51 pm
libarebel
good point, Bugs-- maybe they'll just nod knowingly...
10:54 pm
Bugsaw

11:08 pm
Nef
Good evening. I still can't find that weird wa 7/64 word but I still have half the grid to go; so I'll stop looking for the thing I cannot find.
11:10 pm
Jacula
weird wa7/64 word = wa + not you + first 3 letters of an f word that means disgusting.
11:13 pm
Nef
thank you Jacula! That is one weird word all right!
How are you doing these days?
11:13 pm
Jacula
Just came back in to clue that and signing out again now. Happy Babbling all.x Flip happens here in UK at 6am. I'll come back in about 12 noon. I prefer to skip the flip since people give clues before I want them. Having said that, I've learned to either ignore the chog or hide it when I want to.
11:14 pm
Nef
When I don't want to see the hog; I hide it myself
11:14 pm
Jacula
Nice to see you, too, Nef, but it's early morn/middle of the night here, so I'll be off and hope to see you again soon.
11:16 pm
Nef
Niters, Jacula! Good to see you again!
