He played sax, flute, and clarinet in more bands than I can name. He was my son't clarinet teacher, too. He had a talent for bad jokes, but also for being supportive and kind. He had played a gig just two weeks ago. A week ago he was diagnosed with cancer, and this morning he passed away.

I am okayish. Had a really bad day yesterday. After the meeting, I sat down and did a tremendous lot of calling instances etc, though, so it was not a waste of precious time.
