by the way sprite, big fracas going on over on FB - someone posted an outline of how Denmark approaches sex ed, health care, and birth control options, leading to the lowest rates on abortion and later start to sexual activity. The fundies are up in arms. The US just CANNOT have such things, according to them, despite the evidence that it works. Then they argue that the US is too big to have national health, and child allowance? A non-starter as far as they are concerned. Which then gets the left in an uproar.

i saw a very disturbing news report in which trump fans were shown photos of his inauguration, and the inauguration of another president's. When asked "Which crowd was bigger?" the trump fans insisted there were more people at his inauguration, even though the photo CLEARLY showed empty sections of the field. They were looking at a fact, and refusing to acknowledge it. If people are willing to do that about something that really doesn't even matter (who cares, at the end of the day, how many people were there?) how will they respond on important matters of fact?
