it's even worse than a swampy back yard. we are the low point on the street and the drains are clogged and NCDOT isn't working very hard to fix it, so it floods the street and our front yard during every hard rain.

luckily the landscaping in front of the house diverts the water, so it doesn't come in, but it does come to our front porch step and there's a trench down the side that's at least knee deep. they have cleared it several times throughout the years, but each time it becomes a problem again, it's like pulling teeth to get them to do anything.
