That's good to hear. We're stuck with summer, but that's life here. I just wish it would stay under 100F, but it seems that's history now. We are on a really odd schedule as a result of the heat. It was 99 at 6PM!

I hear ya. It was the same here for a while, drives one crazy. We are not used to it, most summers we do not reach that kind of temps. Though I remember some summers in my childhood when we did, for long stretches. Early school schedules and all.

Here, we couldn't live w/o AC in cars! Summers have always been hot, but not *this* hot. I just pray there are no huge fires this year...there have been a couple of bad ones, but no loss of life that I've heard about. I can't believe the fast response to even tiny fires - 3 planes hit 1/4 acre fire and stop it before it turns into a mess. A few houses have burned due to human stupidity - like burning trash.

CalFire has been incredibly good this year! They just got several C130s to use as tankers, and are staffing all bases with planes that can drop huge loads of retardant. Impressive to see how fast they are knocking fires down. I'm so proud of the people who dedicate their lives to pubic safety!
