The prettiest from this grid for me: the H8/70. Meaning "history considered from a feminist viewpoint or emphasizing the actions of women".

I still think that H/70 is the wierdest word ...
9:09 am

Actually, we were taught that word in class, when I was a school girl, in english lit. *lol* First time it came in handy...

Benjake
How funny...I've heard it, but always as more of a joke than actually seeing it anywhere. Can't imagine actually using it....

We thought it very unfair to men that there wasn't a male counterpart. ;-)

So for people looking for word clues, here are my long ones so far. I believe many are the same as sprite's, but a few seem different:
A/8/40 one who affirms
C/7/52 negatively charged electrode
C/8/70 plural neg. electrodes
E/7/68 jazzed about something
E/7/64 verb form of the above
H/8/70 feminist term for stuff that happened
S/7/36 the study of stationary bodies
T/7/28 said in the shortest way
T/7/40 things that connect things or hold them down
T/7/44 got together secretly
11:47 am
parsec
Oh, and M/7/56: enigmatic people.
I suck at checking plurals.
11:57 am
testing
OK, I have some others. There are 2x8/A/40 with the same meaning. Then:
8/60/H (comes after the H/70): prisoners of a sort
7/44/H - singular of H above
7/60/R - took someone's money again (government)
7/28/S - organizers
12:49 pm

Thanks, parsec and testing. The clues were great!!

I didn't see any clues for the last 8: S/8/50. Can anyone give a clue for that one?
Thanks for the clue for the 9, btw.
1:50 pm
EvaNadine

1:54 pm

Found the big S words!
A clue for the other S/36 (not the stationary bodies one) is that it's a flower, usually used dried. The 8 is the plural of the 7. (The bodies S/36 is a plural of a 6.)

Oooh - I had tried the first 6 letters of the 9 earlier, but alas it wasn't a word by itself. Thanks for the clue - I probably wouldn't have tried that on my own.

For anyone wondering, as I was, if there could possibly be a T/7/40 that comes after that T/7/44, indeed there is. It's a very simliar word to the 44. Or maybe I'm the only one who didn't think to try that! ;)
3:16 pm
Benjake
thanks, fnurt. Not sure how I missed that one when I was trying os words!

anyone have another clue for either the A/8/40 (one who affirms) or the S/7/36 (dried flowers)?
3:37 pm

For the S7 flowers, take the word for what happens when clothes come out of the dryer in winter, and add an e.
