I think Rock Steady is one of the greatest programs for Parkinson's! They had to cancel one session last week due to power outages, but I'm hoping by next week, his finger will be ready for a light workout - at least he can do all of the whole body exercise and keep his hand away from danger.

I'm glad they have a class that's not an hour away! It takes about 35-40 minutes to get there, but he enjoys getting out, and the town where the classes are has great grocery stores! So we get better food too - bonus!

That's how Michael cut his finger - feeding the horses! The local grocery will sell a huge bag of old apples for a couple of bucks, so we always grab them. Neighbor rescued an Arab gelding a few months back - he was skin and bones. He looks like a different critter now - very sweet boy. Fattened up nicely with decent care.

She called Michael the day she adopted him - she was worried he would think neglect - he was the animal control officer for our county for 20 years and he had to contact her once several years ago about another she had rescued. He found no neglect, but she felt picked on - that was before we got together. She has spayed and neutered every feral cat in the area that she could trap, so we have plenty of cats, but I haven't seen kittens in several years. Good neighbor!

Good neighbors are hard to come by - we're lucky - only have four with adjoining properties. The folks behind us now are new, and aren't too friendly, but I hope they manage to feel welcome - it's a nice rural area.

I feel blessed here, after living in cramped housing tracts in Southern Calif for most of my life. I'm just glad I didn't buy a larger place 20 years ago! We get by now, but if not for Michael, I'd be hiring help now! I used to maintain it all by myself, but couldn't manage now. Amazing what 20 years can do, lol!

I use one or two when I get in bed just to try to keep my mouth hydrated - the cavities from dry mouth are getting expensive! You'll never see me without a jug of water. I'm sorry you have to deal with fluid intake restrictions.

it's hard kam as i am also taking a med to stop the heavy water loss through my skin. i perspire so heavily my hair becomes dripping wet, and my back is soaking. the med also dries out my mouth.

Words (and things) are only offensive if you take offense - and everyone has different things that offend them. There are definitely words that most people don't use in polite company but that doesn't mean they don't exist and so will always exist in dictionaries and word lists that depend on them

The funny thing, too, about language, is how it changes. Some words lose their sting/offensiveness over time (at least for large sections of a population).
