i'm often torn between liking things to be "correct" and recognizing that until dictionaries came along, which is quite recent, there was no standardized spelling. people even spelled their names different ways on different days, nobody seemed to care. Jane Austen would write "chuse" not "choose", and now that doesn't pass spell check.

Many of us here are of a common age where our parents read to us and helped us with our homework. Now, teachers and schools are expected to practically raise children.

I just got some yeast. I've been making sourdough bread. It saves a trip to the store. Also because I'm bored. I'm not worried about money since I'm pretty much living on Social Security anyway. Two of my three jobs are still continuing albeit more difficult since I have to work from home. My music jobs are all gone.
