I live in the OKanagan VAlley which is also heavily populated with seniors (people come here to retire) and the only new case we have had in the last 3 weeks was someone who had been working in Alberta. Our entire health care zone covers the entire southern half of our province other than the southwest coastal region and we have only had that one new case in the entire region.

Just to point out that AFAIK there are so far no risk factors that change how likely you are to catch the virus. Only how likely you are to be very ill from it. So a place having an elderly population doesnâ€™t make it more likely to have more cases (though the way retirement homes are set up makes it easier for it to spread, but thatâ€™s a bit different)
