My granddaughter goes to a private school and most of the kids are in school. Everyone has to where a mask and keep social distancing. No-one is allowed in the school accept students, faclulty and staff. And everyones temperature is taken when they enter the school. Those who don't want to join then can have the classes virtually. I hope this does not become the standard though.

I was just thinking earlier today about how when I first started this game it didn't have the tile stats and when he added those it helped so, so much and we were all so happy. I'm sure someone will say I'm crazy but that's how I remember it.

I think unless you are some kind of word genius (see the people at the flip) you need some help if you want to finish these grids. What I don't get are the people who are like "oh yay, I finished without the list" but they have asked for clues all day. Help is help.

was just looking at the archives to see if I could find when the tile stats were added. first day of chat log was 10/6/03 or 06/10/03 for the non-americans. that day dr. god changed from the Scrabble dictionary to Enable because Scrabble only went up to 8 letter words.

I have always thought that this game would be a lot harder if you got negative points for wrong guesses. THAT would drastically change the way people play.

LOL. It was a lot harder before having the stats, so I can't even imagine having a wrong guess cap or penalty. maybe that's why the earliest players quit - adding the stats made it too easy.

also, they started calling big words but just by number of points or number of letters - no first 2 letters.
