in other news - i gave students two weeks to write an essay. It was due Thursday at 8pm. Yesterday a student sent me a ONE LINE response- "I am not doing this, sorry." I was LIVID. I sent an email to the parents, and they wrote back saying the school was not doing enough to support their son, they both had to work, he wasn't to blame, etc. I am disgusted! Can you imagine EVER being that cheeky with a teacher when you were in 8th grade?
