they are correct. I lived in Michigan my whole life until 1984 when i moved down here. When you live in colder climates, the corpuscles in your body are deeper under the skin but when you move to a warm climate those same corpuscles rise to the surface just under your skin so you feel temp changes more readily and cold is felt at a higher temp than when you are up north. I left Michigan for the very reason of the cold weather, snow, ice, not a winter sports person so I am happy to not be in snow anymore. I live in Melbourne/Palm Bay area on the space coast where all the rockets used to be launched. I saw John Glenn go up on his second mission while standing on the beach. It was awesome. I see all the launches from my back porch.
