Here is the deal on SPAM: It used to say "not in the dictionary". Then someone said that Dr. God had agreed to add it as a word. Now it says "not in the puzzle" when SPAM is in the puzzle. Dr. God know this and his response was "interesting". I think that means we just have to live with things the way they are.

I remain convinced that I got the wrong error message for spam, since I just tried a proper noun, and it was rejected as expected, not in the dictionary - is there a way to send bug reports? Not that this case is particularly important, but it could be a symptom of something that does matter.

well, spam as we know it today wasn't really a thing when the Enable word list this game uses was made. back then it was just the canned meat - a proper noun, which is not allowed.

per Molly, someone asked Dr. God (the creator of this game) to add it (which I didn't know was possible), and apparently it isn't possible because it doesn't work. But it changed the error message from "not found in the dictionary" to "not in the grid" even when it's clearly in the grid, like today.

Gillie - Hi! I don't think we've met. The global fight against Covid 19 is far from over, even when everyone (and it won't be everyone in the world) has had their 2nd jab. New variants will keep on appearing and we'll all need more jabs to try to avoid them, just like with influenza. It could be another year or two before we can all relax in what we all saw as 'the normal world' again, and even then we'll probably need to wear masks and have more jabs in winter for another 3 years or so. There is no quick or for ever fix for this one.
