Why wont it take yearly? Am I not seeing straight?

Because you try to use the same Y twice for 'yearly'.

I've only gotten 37 words and 343 points, not doing so well... Oh, well =)

103 words, 1520. I am getting stumped, though.

Is it possible for a brain to turn to silly putty? Only 49 words ....
12:21 pm
Sikozu
Hey, slowly but surely. This is kind of hard when you don't speak english as your mother tongue. But I'm sure there's many besides me. Heh.
12:25 pm
Gail
C'mon Tedybeth, you can do it. You finished right behnd me yesterday.
12:25 pm
sprite
Must be possible... even with Treble's clue I am blind to that E7. Guess I am having my stupid day.
12:27 pm
testing
Treble's clue is a bit misleading. The E7 is a type of butterfly or moth, but does not mean butterfly or moth. Consider a monarch (not the butterfly kind).
12:27 pm
Gail
I can't find the e word, either. Nothing seems to work.
12:28 pm
sprite
Possible that my brain has turned to silly putty, I mean. And yes, Sikozu, there are more not-native speakers here; I am one of them (from Holland).
12:31 pm
Sikozu
testing, that was a good clue, got it instantly. Thanks. And this is great for learning new words sprite. You seem to be doing well, always. =)

It's just that I am a kind of pitbull terrier ;-)
Just don't know how to quit before I have found all words. Learning new words is certainly part of the fun for me as well!
12:36 pm
Sikozu
I enjoy it too, very much. but sometimes it is really hard for me to find the longer words. I also like to keep on for a long, long time. If I only had the time.
12:40 pm
tedybeth
Yeah! got the e7. Thanks, testing, the clue really helped!
12:42 pm
sprite
For me too, testing, thanks! If I had been any less stupid, it would have jumped out of the grid for me.
12:44 pm
Gail
I got it, too. And I speak English. Well, in Vernont, sort of English. I have trouble following the words that twist all around.
12:49 pm
Sikozu
I'm totally missing the P8... Although I found a dozen other words while searching for it.
12:53 pm
testing
Sikozu - Both P8s are basically the same word (past tense of a verb, and the one who did it). this clue may not make sense to a non-native english speaker, but think about pirates.
12:56 pm
Sikozu
I get the past tense, I guess I'm just tired and can't just see it. I'm going to try anyway, thanks.
12:57 pm

With thanks to a visiting friend: i7/32.
He claims it is a military term, used to describe the curved path a bullet will take when fired. I quote: "If you don't keep the i7 curve in mind, you will miss your target."
12:59 pm
Sikozu
Thank you testing, finally got them!

Does anyone have another clue for the i7/32? I'm not good with military terms...also, any clues for the Q? I think I've gone blind...
9:36 pm
dicktrickle
the q/4/11 is a small cow, i think...the i/7 is not in dictionary.com, but if you take an i prefix and add it to what you have to do to hit a moving target, you should get it
9:49 pm
thesnark
Thanks dicktrickle for the help!

no problem.....what is the last 7?
a x 3, e x 1, i x 1, l x 1, m x 1, r x 2, s x 1....and what??
11:24 pm

Speaking of learning new words...I wish there was a version of this game in Spanish and Portuguese, (and maybe Esperanto). Span and Port are the two languages I study on the side. English is my first.
Of course, then I'd want a version in Hawaiian, Latin, Romanian, French, Yiddish, Hebrew, Ladino, Irish and Scots Gaelic, Welsh, Greek, Sanskrit, and just about any other language out there. Navajo would be difficult, but I bet it would be doable :)
