well, I have learned a lot this year. Lesson one - I will never set up a classroom so fully again. I moved in for the rest of my teaching years, and will need a damn uhaul to get it all home. Second, NEVER love a job like that again. Be passionate about the students, but not the system, as it will screw you over in a heartbeat. Third - these people are coworkers, NOT real friends. Friends are for after work

For me, I tried to make it work with the new principal, but she effectively created a whole new staff - then the governors saw her for what she was and got rid of her and asked me back! I was very lucky but in the meantime met my future partner which ultimately led me to Aus.
