I'm trying to get off paroxetine (using trazodone in hopes of easing the sleep issues), and my brain definitely doesn't seem to be operating at speed. I've been researching way too many drugs.

It seems that Bacopa monnieri has been found (in limited studies) to be beneficial for short-term memory, and "well-tolerated", but you have to take it for a while to benefit, and it doesn't seem to be very widely available.

I strongly recommend against taking paroxetine (Paxil). Unfortunately, I've been taking it for quite a while. I've tried coming off it before, with very nasty withdrawal symptoms. (Brain buzzing, very bad dreams, possible paranoia, and they didn't seem to be getting any better.) I'd hoped to go back on a different anti-depressant, but my doctor at the time pretty much insisted on putting me back on paroxetine. Now I find that it may well contribute to a long-term decline in mental functioning, so I'm trying again.
