Nope. It has been the hottest summer ever! I call it "cooler" when it's 95F. That, I can tolerate to do a bit of evening yard work. Actually, tonight is the coolest night in weeks - I have my door and windows open for some fresh air.

I've been having the outside of my house fixed. The dry rot has been replaced, I have new siding, and a new window in my bedroom. the old window let SO much heat in, so afternoon naps should be cooler now. After the new construction wood is primed, then I have a painter lined up. A major paint company here went out of business, so painting costs went sky-high. I got 2 bids, only $50US apart. But the lower bid will fix a couple of things the higher one wouldn't. I will be so happy to have the outside fixed up. Then I have to start on the inside. I remodeled when I bought the place in 2000. It needs a lot of help now.

The dash to the car and getting it cooled off isn't bad. It's 7.5 miles to town, so by the time I get there I'm cooled off and dash into the store. But, I have to shop at least 2 stores to get what I need. I have to do it again tomorrow. It's supposed to been under 100F, so that's not too bad after days on end of 110-116F.
