It won't accept 'pogo' because, I think, its a brand name. But there are two other 'ogo' words in the puzzle that are accepted. Ya, and I tried 'Hopi' as well. I was hoping it would accepted and not just be considered a pronoun. And, as I learned in my high school English, 'alot' is 'a lot'.
12:35 pm
EvaNadine
yeah mulhermujer, i can see all the reasons why it wouldnt accept the words mentioned...
but it frustrates me when it does accept words like "awol" which is an acronym and some slang!
*grrr* i say!

Yes, you are right. "A lot" is two words. The single word is allot. As a former English teacher, I used to get crazy when students did it :)

If you look at the stats posted earlier, you'll see there are 16 seven-letter words, and one eight-letter word. 8 is the longest the words get today. As for the shorthand, if you see "c7/32", it means a 7-letter word startin
with c that is worth 32 points. You can learn more about points in the Babble
Rules. Hope that helps some!
