I am new here, what do the codes mean in the comments section? for example:
s8/70....does it mean there are 8 words starting with s for 70 points???
1:20 am
Isabell
Hi katesmom,
It means there is an 8 letter word, starting with S, that's worth 70 points
1:20 am
UnusualSuspects
The first bit is the letter it starts with, the second is the number of letters in the word, the third is the number of points the word adds up to.
So an S/8/70 is a word that starts with S, has 8 letters, and is worth 70 pts.

Nicole, most of the people here love word games. There'll always be people better than you. They just happen to see more and or quicker than most. So just play and have fun.
On another note, I only see five hints for the eight letter words: where's the sixth?

hi, I'm new here. I was just wondering if any of you was interested in posting your thoughts on some general strategies that work well...some things that might not be immediately obvious to a person unfamiliar with word games.
9:30 am
JonathanDDR
I'm not that great myself, but always look for common endings to verbs/nouns like "s", "es", "ing" (which is very helpful in this puzzle), "ed" and also look for prefixes too: "re", "un", etc.
On a side note, this o8/60 is VERY frustrating.

OT comment here, but someone might have an answer. It's happened twice to me now, where after browsing around to other parts of the site (i.e., Player Rankings) and then returning the today's puzzle, the name under "Logged in as:" is not mine. Going to User Profile still shows my info, and I can log out and back in fine. But yesterday, I was "eli" for a few minutes, and today I was "Orit" for a moment or two. Has this happened to anyone else? Any thoughts on how/why? Should I be telling an admin somewhere? :)

May I suggest to everyone that, instead of reposting the stats a million times, you can highlight them with your mouse then copy and paste them into Word and print them out? It will reduce the amount of scrolling that we have to do to read other comments and has the added benefit of giving you a page on which you can make ticks next to each letter to show how many you have got.
