Evanadine, yellow are the active root letters, light grey are the number of words made using that active root letter, dark grey means no words start with letter or you've got the ones that are :)

Lol evadine , Im in W.v. , USA . I have purchased vehicles and land here and have never had a credit card. When I get applications in the mail for credit cards i trash them because I know we would be using them for things we don't really need.Like now , if i had one i would be spending $9.95 to become a pro player which isn't mush but it does add up and the way gas prices are going every extra penny will be going into the gas tank to get my hubby to work and children to sports :))

I notice a lot of slow down when everyone is posting. My browser usually pauses 5 or 6 times when i'm typing a message depending on the traffic. Sometimes takes a minute or so to shake its feathers...

My theory on the hiccups is that they're caused by the chat log constantly refreshing itself. I have two potential solutions:

1) Increase the time between chat refreshes
2) Give the user a choice between auto- and manual-refreshing

I think I know why. Explorer is having to caches all the icons again now that the site name has changed, and for some reason it's not storing any of them until it downloads them all first, and the chat log is refreshing itself before all the icons can finish downloading. It's a vicious cycle.

I just turned off the chat log auto-update. So everyone refresh their browsers and let's all let the icons download and get stored in cache. :)

Well, it looks like Safari and Firefox do quite well with caching the icons and not trying to download them again if they've already downloaded them one. Internet Explorer insists on downloading the same icon over and over again for each post from the same person. Ugh...

Sorry about the glitches. I decided to wipe out all the files on the server and upload fresh copies, just to see if there were any gremlins hiding about. And refreshing on IE 6 does seem much quicker now, and it seems to only download each icon once.

Finally finished. i would LOVE to stay and chat but the length of the page and the number of images just doesn't make it an option. Is anyone else having this problem?
