kristin - freezing rain is bad too. That's part of the problem I think. Have heard from people coming in that there is ice under the snow. And this is really the first snowfall of the winter, so everyone forgets how to drive and the plows are having trouble keeping up with clearing.

I found out yesterday that my Malka (tabby) has hyperthyroidism. I have to take her to a clinic in Conn. and leave her for three days. They inject radioactive iodine into the thyroid and then let her cool.
